Abstract


The paper presents a factor analytic model, which identifies the key factors contributing to entrepreneurial initiative and success in the state of Jharkhand in India. The factor analysis is carried out on a sample of 129 entrepreneurs from a particular district of Jharkhand.  The study identifies four key factors viz. internal motivation, situational thrust, resource availability and skill factor, which drives entrepreneurial behavior.
